Proverbs 16:32 – He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Rage and sin often go hand in hand. Controlling our feelings to avoid hurting others and ourselves is one of the most difficult things to do. Paul wrote, “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:26-27). Our wrath cannot accomplish what calmness produces. The peace that comes with submission to God’s will cannot be overestimated. When present in the life of a believer, others will notice and wonder at the calm. The control that comes with this peace allows us to do great things for God’s glory. Therefore, enjoy peace and show the world that faith and peace are the answer.
