Biblical Reflections: Psalm 37:4

Psalm 37:4 – Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

There are so many distractions in the world. Even otherwise good things can get in the way of great things. There is an art to prioritisation. While it often eludes us, focusing in the right thing is always the right thing.

Jesus put it plainly, saying, “…take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:31-33). When we keep our eyes of God and act like ambassadors for Christ, it changes everything. We will be a blessing and we will be blessed. Keep your eyes on the prize.
