Biblical Reflection: Jude 1:24-25

Jude 1:24-25 – Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Have you ever stood in a pool of sunlight basking in the warm glow? Your skin soaks up the heat as your eyes close, because they cannot endure the glory of the light. Your heart and mind relax before the comforting presence of our ever present friend in the sky.

Malachi tells us that to those who fear Him, the Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing (Malachi 4:2). Furthermore, John recorded that Jesus described Himself as the the bright and morning star (Revelation 22:16). He is the Light of the world and those that follow Him shall not walk in darkness. Rather, they shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)

Jesus Christ, the Sun of Righteousness, the Light of the World, the Light of Life, is the very image of God, and to Him we owe our reverence and devotion. We cannot be separated from His love by anything seen or unseen. Even our sins cannot separate from His great love (Romans 8:35-39). Though we are cast down, He lift us up today and at the last day to present us glorified in joy. Praise Him! Bless His holy name! Rejoice in Him!
