The Lord Unrestrained – 1 Samuel 14:6

1 Samuel 14:6 – And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.

One of the unsung heroes of the Bible is Jonathan.  Even without David as his companion, Jonathan was a great champion.  His faith and courage are breathtaking, and they are only surpassed by his devotion to his friend, David.  It is no wonder that they were fast friends even above family.

On the occasion mentioned above, Jonathan dared challenge an entire garrison, believing that God would give him the victory.  How could he know that God would support such an effort? Faith. Jonathan had a living faith that kept him close to the will of God.

Jonathan’s faith let him dare great things for the Lord. Do you have such faith? If not, pray to the Lord to help your unbelief. Know His will and dare to believe. Do good work.
