Isaiah 40:30-31 – Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Are you tired? Are you weary in your bones? Sometimes life tries to get us down. Either we are just overwhelmed with work, or sickness takes its toll. At other times we are simply spiritually fatigued from our battles with sin, temptation and the challenges of everyday living. There are valid reasons to be tired. Thank God that He can help us.
Psalm 46:1 tells us that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Our hope lies within the supernatural hand of God. He can calm the storm and heal the sick. He can cause the sun to hold its course and raise the dead. If we trust in Him, we will see wonders. Guaranteed.
We may not witness some of things performed by God and His Son, Jesus Christ, but we certainly can be blessed with renewed strength of mind, body, soul, and spirit. Simply wait upon the Lord, and He will lift you up. In turn you can help others with your renewed strength. Hence He created the Church.
Founded upon the cornerstone of Christ, the Church’s mission is to spread the Word of Christ and to be His hands in the world shining forth the Light of the Savior. She is appointed to lift up and encourage.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10).
