1 John 4:10-11 – Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
Some scientists believe that the affection that we feel and attribute to a concept of love is nothing more than a series of chemical reactions that are manifested as actions toward one another. “Love” as these people would have us believe is merely a survival mechanism resulting from eons of evolution. Reduced to such analytical meaning, love would be subject to the whims of our environment without any eternal significance. Praise God that we are more than the sum of our parts.
The greatest demonstration of God’s love is Jesus Christ. He lived a life we could not live, and He died a death we could not die. Rising from the grave, Jesus now sits on the right hand of the Father, interceding for all of His people. Wonderful!! Praise Him, praise Him!
The next time you feel loved, thank God for that feeling. He put it there.
