Job 38:22 – Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail?
It is cold outside, and snow is on the ground. Snow. It is certainly a wonder of nature. It is one of many things that defy our ability to explain fully. How can such delicate structures form in midair? Or hail, how can something so simple be so destructive?
God demanded that Job consider these things as He called to him from the whirlwind. Have you considered the complexity and unique form of a single snowflake? Have you considered the wonder of nature, its beauty and its fearsome power? God made it all. By the power of His Word, God set the seasons and all nature in place.
As the manifest Word of God, Jesus Christ is the instrument of God accomplishing His will. In Colossians 1:17 we learn that He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. The Master can take credit for the beauty of every snowflake and the strength of every storm.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
