Isaiah 50:7 – For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
This Word from Isaiah speaks of the indomitable Spirit of Jesus Christ. Flint stone is hard. Used for arrow heads and spear points be the ancients, it was the epitome of tough, and Jesus is tough. As we trust in Him, we are too.
There are times when I we face what seem like insurmountable obstacles. When we face these issues we can either seek a solution or give up. Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8). The message is clear. Don’t give up.
When Jesus was down trodden and scorned by men and even abandoned by His disciples, He turned to the Father. When He was corned by adversaries, He rested upon the Truth. When hate threatened His earthly life, Jesus showed love. That is tough.
I am praying for you today to be tough like Jesus. Be strong. Be merciful. Be holy.
