Malachi 4:2 – But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
In the night time it is hard to see the path set before us. It is hard to understand where to go or what to do. Many times our spiritual path takes us through the day and into the night time. It is times like these where our faith is tried.
When the way grows dark, we need help. We need light to see our path. We need the sure Word of God. Its truth and righteousness can guide us and comfort us.
This passage from Malachi is dear to mamy Christians, and we must remember that the Sun of Righteousness arises. The context of this verse is one of dark proclamations of judgement and condemnation. Here that important word “But” makes all the difference. Even though terrible events around us may br dire, for those that fear the name of the Lord, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise out of the dark night of our lives healing us and giving us a new day and hope. Look for the dawn.
Sing unto the Lord , O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
