Taking Jesus With You – 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 – We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Life does not always flow smoothly.  We face trials and tribulations that challenge and frustrate us.  However, as we trust in the Lord, we know that all things work together for to those that love the Lord (Romans 8:28).  We just do not always know how in the moment.  Our part is to trust in Lord without leaning upon ourselves.

The Bible tells us that tribulation and persecution should be expected.  If handled properly, these events can strengthen us like a forge fire tempers steel.  Handled poorly the same fiery trial can ruin us if handled improperly.  Trusting in the Lord we should strive for peaceful patience that hopes in better heavenly things to. See us through difficult times.

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy” (1 Peter 4:12-13).
