Epistles of Flesh – 2 Corinthians 3:2-3

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 – Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

As a Minister of the Gospel, I have gained a certain perspective that many of you probably share.  Those we lead are the product of our work and skill. Most people in leadership positions understand this fact as well.  Whether we preach, teach, lead a family or a business or just coach a children’s team, those we influence bear our mark for good or ill.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have a special duty and privilege to bear about the Savior’s Good News and to be His hands serving His children.  Think about it.  The Lord of Heaven and Earth, the Creator, the Author of all Truth wants us to witness to Him, showing and telling others about Him demonstrating His Goodness and Love.  Now that is something to talk about.

The result of our service is the glory of God and the blessing of His people.  All ships rise with the tide, and the Glory of God raises all the souls of God’s people.  When we bless others, we should remember this charge and the mark we leave in the hearts of the people we are blessed to serve.
