Philippians 1:20 – According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
I need Jesus. Honestly, I need him every hour. When I was younger, I did not realize just how vital faith is to life. Now I see and know that the Lord is the true Maker and Sustainer of my life. Like many people, my pride fooled me into believing that I was able to deliver myself from danger and sustain my status. How silly!
Grace is not just for eternity. God’s grace is sufficient for today’s concerns as well. Today I rest my hope in the same promises trusted by Job, “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me” (Job 19:25-27).
Praise God for His assurances of salvation today, tomorrow, and forever!! God is good. We need God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Magnify Jesus Christ through your body, and He magnifies your righteousness, peace and joy in every toil and every pleasure.
See? You need Jesus too.
