Ecclesiastes 3:17 – I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
By faith, we understand that God, the Creator, the LORD of Lords, presides over the universe as Judge of all, discerning right from wrong, good from evil. He will not neglect to do so for He is faithful. For this reason we should fear and love the Lord.
With so many injustices in the world and such pain, it is often difficult to see how good can overcome it all. This is why we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. He gave us truths to live by and an example to follow. Moreover, the Resurrection demonstrated that death, the ultimate tribulation, is no barrier to fellowship and life with God. “For as the Father raiseth up the dead and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will” (John 5:21).
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Commit your way to the Lord and be glad for His patience. It is by grace we know Him and by grace we live.
